Backing Cards: An Easy & Impressive Way to Display Products

Create an impressive presentation of your products with backing cards. These cardstocks, which are about as thick as a standard business card, are made for displaying jewelry, pins, and other accessories.

As the name implies, backing cards go behind the product. This makes them the perfect canvas for your brand name and design. No matter the product you sell, backing cards will give your goods an impressive presentation that will surely catch people’s attention.

Backing Card Sizes & Styles

A backing card should be big enough to fit your product and showcase your brand name and design. Printed on durable 14 pt. and 16 pt. cardstocks, UPrinting backing cards are thick enough so they don’t bend or crease easily during storage and shipping.

How big should your backing card be? That depends on the product you’re selling. To help you visualize, a post/stud earring card is the same size as a US passport photo while a pendant and earring card is as big as a standard business card.

Choose from the following sizes and styles to complement your product:

Styles  Sizes
     Post/Stud Earring

     2" x 2"

     Loop/Hook Earring

     2" x 2.5"

     Pendant and Earring

    2.5" x 4"

     Foldover Necklace/Bracelet

     2" x 5.375" (folds to 2" x 2.5")

     Square/Rectangle

     up to 8.5” x 11”

When in doubt, choose a larger card to have more room for your product and design. UPrinting offers backing cards in custom sizes up to 8.5 x 11. Order today and have your backing cards ready to ship in 4-6 business days.

Q:
Are you able to punch a small hole in the center for an acrylic pin?
Asked 5 days ago by Nicole
A:

Yes. If you order the square or rectangle shaped Backing Card, there will be an option for 5/16" hole drill or round peg hole. If you order those for earrings or foldover styles (for necklaces or bracelets), the option will be for a 1" x 5/16" sombrero hole.

You may also want to look at our Rectangular Hang Tags as these have a lot more options for Hole Drill position, size and material selection.

Q:
Do you offer food safe and greaseproof backing cards?
Asked 5 days ago by Tracy
A:

The Backing Cards are food safe and many of our customers use them for such purposes but these are not grease proof.

Q:
Can I get these with a pre-punched center home for ethanol pin display?
Asked 4 months ago by Magen
A:

We offer a standard 5/16" hole drill to be located in the top center portion of the backing card. We will print the design you submitted as long as it has a 250-300 DPI resolution and sized exactly to the order size.

Q:
Can I request part of the logo be printed in gold?
Asked 7 months ago by Maria C.
A:

Yes, this is possible. Please go to our Foil Business Cards which have the same size as our Backing Cards (or you may configure your own custom size).  You just need to indicate on your artwork which area you need to be in gold (you may add a layer on your artwork).

Q:
Is the heaviest backing card suitable for a heavy item to be zip tied to it?
