Giant checks are a staple in any public event that involves awards since they are a great way to honor the awardee’s achievements or contribution. They also add more oomph to press coverages, since any information written on them is clearly visible in photos and videos.

Are we able to put our logo on it? If so where does it go?

You may insert your logo or any image (including a signiture) on to your artwork and we will print it as you designed.  Since the layout of Giant Checks mostly contain text and lines, most customers use any of the graphic design applications from Adobe like Illustrator or Photoshop to create designs in large format ( i.e. 24" x 48")  and just insert the logos in the areas where they need it to appear.  It is important the size dimensions of your file are the same as what you will order and your logo should be sharp and hopefully with a resolution of 250-300 DPI fpr optimal printing. 

Although we have an easy to use design tool online, unfortunately it is not  offered to design Giant Checks. A workaround would be to go to Vinyl Banners, configure the exact  size you need, for example 2 feet by 4 feet (24" x 48") and then click on the Design Online Function. This will give you the exact size of your canvas, that you may now create the design on.

  1. The easiest way is to choose themes or select from the "Premium Images" link.
  2. Type in "Cheques" to filter for different templates which will allow you to choose from photos with basic Cheque designs.
  3. From there you can simply fit the template into the size you want, (2 ft x 4 ft seems to be the best as other sizes may not fit into the canvass properly). The images are copyrighted so there will be a minimal fee to use them.
  4. Click on the text icon and type in the amount the check is worth, the signatories, date, etc. to simulate what a regular check would look like.
  5. Insert your logo in the area where you want it to appear and you may also type in your company name using the text feature.
  6. Once you are happy with the design, save it. The system will ask you to create an account and your artwork will appear in your My Saved Designs tab.
  7. Go back to the product page for the Giant Checks and configure the size you need and other options. You will need to select the same size as what you had designed. In this case 2ft x 4 ft.
  8. Click on the "Start with a Free Proof" link. They will ask you to insert the file you need but you can use any image on your PC. You can even use your logo just to comply with this because you wont be using that image anyway. Do not place the order yet.
  9. At this point, give us a call and speak to a Customer Support Representative and ask them to grab the Check you designed that is saved in your "My Saved Design Tab" so they will use that for proofing for the Giant Check item.  They will replace the image you uploaded.
  10. In a few hours, a proof will come back showing your design with the trim lines and other proofing marks. (These marks will not be printed and are only meant to show you where it will be trimmed).
  11. If you are happy with the proof, approve it and place the order. 

Remember, you started with configuring the job at the Vinyl Banner page but you are actually placing an order for the Giant Check just so you can use our Design Tool.  The above steps are a workaround for you to use our Design tool if you aren't familiar with using graphic design applications like Illustrator or Photoshop.  If you have any difficulty or have questions as you go along, don't hesitate to call or chat with us so our Customer Support Reps may guide you through the process.

I need to order a large dry erase check. Do I just upload my logo and you have the check template to add it to, or do I need to upload a full check design?

We would need you to do the exact design of the check. There are a lot of free design templates online which you can just insert your details so if you can upload it in a PDF form, it should be ok. 

Q:
How durable are these products? Can I include my nonprofits logo? And do you wave taxes for 501c3 organizations?

The material is made of 3/16" Foam Board so it is not flimsy. We do have Gatorboard Signs which are sturdier and we can just as easily print  an image of a check on. These may last up to 2 years with proper care.

We do give tax exemptions for non-profit companies. Please set up an account online and send your document to trade@uprinting.com so we can process it and tag your account accordingly. The process may take up to 24-48 hours after which a Trade Representative will be in touch with you via email.
