How can I create beautiful water bottle labels?

You don’t need to be a design pro to create printable water bottle labels. But you need to follow some guidelines to ensure that you’ll get the perfect label for your product:

  • Measure the container. Know how much space you’ll be working with. The bottle manufacturer should be able to provide this information, but you can also measure the label area with a ruler.
  • Think about where and how your product will be used. This will help you decide between a water-resistant label and a waterproof one.
  • Play with colors, shapes, and textures. Your product will be sitting alongside other products in the store or will be compared with its competitors. Make your labels stand out.
  • Don’t be afraid to use a template. You can customize it to fit your brand and save you time from creating design from scratch.

You can design gorgeous labels with our online design tool. Choose from countless stock photos and fonts.

FAQs

Can I customize the size of my water bottle labels?

Yes, you may customize the labels by choosing the Custom Size option on the calculator.

Can all labels be wrapped around bottles?

No, only the rectangle-shaped labels can be wrapped around.

For a typical 16 oz. or 500ml bottle, you would choose the 2” x 8.5” full-wrap label.

The 2” x 4” label can be placed at the front only (half-wrapped).

Other label shapes (circle and oval) can be placed at the front, center of the bottles.

Note: Bottle from different manufacturers vary in size. Before ordering your label, measure the width and height of the label area.

What’s the most popular water bottle label size?

The most popular choice is the 2” x 2” square label. It has ample space for the logo and other marketing information but is still small enough to fit on the front of smaller bottles.

What makes a label fun and effective?

What it boils down to for most people is the customization of the design. With custom label printing, you can create labels that will drive a positive impression and instant brand recognition.

Labels easily promote your business as part of your product packaging, whether used for mailing as custom address labels or as custom wine labels. They also play an important role for event organizers that need to print personalized labels for weddings and other events.

“If I ever find myself needing to purchase custom water bottle labels again, I would defiantly purchase these again. The web site was easy to use to design my label. Production and shipping time was reasonable (about a week and a half). The print quality was very good and did not run when it got wet in a bucket with ice. The back was easy to pull off and affix to the water bottle, and the labels held there place even after getting wet. Highly recommend!”

Q:
I'm looking to place an order for water bottle labels. 8 oz. Your photo for labels sizes for 8 oz is 3" x 2.25" and I don't see that in your drop down menu.
Asked 4 days ago by AV
A:

On the specification area, when you go to the size field you need to scroll down and click on "Custom". You may configure that exact size manually from there.

Q:
I want to use 8oz bottles for a wedding I will send you a copy of the logo. I just need to know what size I need to order please it’s a square I can’t attach it
Asked 2 months ago by Kim
A:

We will actually need the customer to tell us the exact size needed. In these cases, we advise you to simulate the logo you need on the bottle you want to use by cutting a piece of paper and trimming it to the nearest inch or half inch (i.e, 2" x 3.5" or 2" x 2") . Once you are satisfied with the size, you need to upload on the website the logo on the background of the size you selected. Please make sure the logo and text have 250-300 DPI resolution for optimal printing.

Q:
is the full wrap, have the logo on the front and the back?
Asked 3 months ago by james g.
A:

We always suggest for the customer to cut out the exact size the label needs to be and confirm if it fits on your water bottle. Once you get the full wrap size, that's the size you need to order and guide you on how to position your artwork. Ideally, to lessen the back and forth, your artwork should contain  all the elements and we will print exactly what you submit to us. You may ask for a free PDG proof on the onset so you dont have to make any payment until you see that the artwork is correct. Once you approve the proof, make payment and we will send it to print.

Q:
I am looking for a sticker to put on a metal water bottle. Would these work?
Asked 3 months ago by Heather
A:

Yes, these would work as long as the surface is smooth. If you are expecting moisture and condensation, please select the 4 Mil White Vinyl material as this is water resistant.

Q:
What does shrink wrapping look like?
Asked 6 months ago by Megan
A:

Shrinkwrapping means to wrap (something, such as a certain number of flyers) in tough clear plastic film that is then shrunk (by heating) to form a tightly fitting package. Let's say you order 1000 pcs. We can bundle (shrink wrap them in sets of 50, 100, and 250).
