“The plastic layer of some of the cards started peeling off. The cards do not feel silky, they are tacky. The colors are tacky. Aweful quality considering this is not a cheap product!”

“This has been the most drawn out and complicated process I’ve ever dealt with any company. It’s gotten to the point that anytime I place an order with them, I have to expect an issue. It’s been about a year since my last order. The shipping is overpriced and your product isn’t really protected for the price. I learned that from my last order as over half of my product arrived damaged. Now, I’m hesitant to even purchase again. My friend needed some business cards so I decided to go with them since I had a store credit due to the issue with my last order. I am the type of person that reads the info section of any company that customizes products for me as I like to have all my ducks in a row prior to purchasing. At first, I was just going to order some basic cards that had a little more weight to them. Then, I decided I want him to have some cards that’s stand out for his business. So, I ordered the silk business cards with the UV spots. WHY DID I DO THAT?!!! Mind you, when I placed the order and there was nowhere on the site indicating the spot UV designs need to be in a specific format. I received an email a few hours later about the format needing to be in vector format . I really didn’t know what that meant so I did a little research and it was saying to adobe illustrator. Look I’m not a graphic designer. From what I’ve heard, it’s a pain to work with. I know the basics of photoshop and nothing more. I respond to the email, I don’t know how to do it, so what’s another options for me. The guy responds, they can do it but it’s $25 to do the design (which had already been created), and $15 to put in vector format. So, the next day, I call about my order and ask the customer service rep to help me put it in vector format. He’s NO HELP at all! LIKE AT ALL. He’s like it’s going to take a long time to tell you how to do it so just go on YouTube instead of providing helpful links. Now, the day before, I did go on YouTube to attempt to do it, but it changed the entire design. I told him and he was like send it over and our designer will be able to figure it out as long as I indicate where I want the spot UV. I did that. The next day I get another call and it seems to be some sort of confusion with what I was told what would happen and what actually happened. They send another proof and I decline it because I didn’t like the trim. I wanted them to simply resize it. No one could comprehend that. I get an email saying my order is on hold yet again and to send the file back in vector format (yet again!). I just told the last 3 reps I talked to I don’t know how to do that. Someone sends me links on how to do put in vector format but at that point I was like just send the last proof where they highlighted the parts I wanted with spot UV. Needless to say, I was NOT happy with the proof, but I approved it because after 10 DAYS of going back and forth with them I was over it and my friend needed the cards. I thought they would put spot UV on them at the very least even if they didn’t resize them to the way I wanted them. I ordered July 15 and didn’t received the cards until August 6. Absolutely ridiculous! When I received the cards, THEY DON’T EVEN HAVE THE UV SPOTS AT ALL! The entire card is matte on both sides. It should not have been as difficult as it was at all. As smooth and easy as I thought the process would be for just business cards, it was the furthest thing from it.”

Q:
Does silk lamination mute the colors? Does silk lamination mute more or less than velvet lamination does
Asked 2 months ago by Ed L.
A:

This kind of lamination is somewhat thicker than most to create that soft touch feel so the tendency would be to slightly mute or dull the colors.

Q:
Can I get business cards that are uncoated on one side and silk on the other? We like the silk cards, but are in need to be able to write on the back side/
Asked a year ago by Kathy S.
A:

Unfortunately, that option is currently unavailable. The only stock that could be written on for the 16 Pt is the matte finish.
