Q: What is the flute included in the corrugated cardboard box?

The flute is a wave found in between the corrugated cardboard paper liners. We'll place either an E- or B-flute in your box. The letter indicates their thickness, and we select the best flute based on your box dimensions. E-flutes are 1/16' thick, while B-flutes are 1/8' thick .

Q: Why is there a QR code on my shipping boxes that’s not part of the original design?

We added a QR code on all our products as part of our updated production process. It’s inserted after proofing to help speed up your custom order’s processing time. Rest assured that it will always be placed on a non-visible location after the box has been assembled.

Q: Can I order a custom sized shipping box with no design?

Yes, you may select “No Printing” from the “Printed Sides” choices for a blank box.

Q: Can I order a sample shipping box?

Yes, you can order 1 sample box with your custom artwork and dimensions. Samples take 4 - 8 business days to produce.

Q: How can I design the artwork for my shipping box?

Our online design tool is simple to use and lets you create a custom box design.

If you’d like to receive a dieline template based on your box specs, place your order first and we will create one for you.

Q: How do I measure for the shipping box size?

Length is measured from the longest, horizontal side of the box interior. Width is the second longest, horizontal side of the box interior or the side with the shorter flap. To measure depth, go from the top to the bottom inside the box with the flaps closed.

Q: Is my artwork checked for any errors or technical issues such as image resolution and measurements?

Yes, our prepress team checks your artwork for free before printing and will inform you of anything that needs correction.

Q: Is there a standard size for a shipping box?

Below are some recommended standard sizes and suggested items shipped inside the box:

– glasses or fragile dinnerware items
– small to medium-sized appliances like a coffee maker

The print quality...

“The print quality was average. It looked like toner on corrugate - the images were not all crisp, there was no subtlety in the shadows, and colors are OK in some places but not in others. And even larger knocked-out type filled in. It looked like a proof but to me, not acceptable as a final product. I was also surprised that I could not upload a file larger than 200MB to your site.”

“This was an absolutely terrible experience. I ordered the boxes from UPrinting for an upcoming event. I ordered them in time, but they sent the wrong boxes. I reached out asking for reprints (since they had gotten the order wrong and, by that time, I was in a time crunch). After sending multiple pics to two different customer support reps (Omar being one, the other was a woman who’s name I’ve forgotten), I was told that the reprint would be completed and rushed to me. I was also told to be looking out for a proof in my email. The next day (Friday), when I never got the proof, I called them asking about the order and explaining the events of the previous day. This rep told me she would order the proof and to be looking out for it. Later that day, after STILL not getting a proof of the reprint for the order they messed up, I reached out to chat support and spoke to Arvin. Arvin told me that my reprint order was on hold because they needed images! Then, when he realized they already had them, he said he’d fix it. I expressed my concern considering what I’d already experienced and he assured me that not only would the order go through this time, but that he was putting it on his “Watch List”. He said to look out for a proof within a couple of hours. Saturday morning, of course I had no proof. And, when I called at around noon CDT, I was again told that my order was on hold. I didn’t even ask why. I just requested that they cancel it and issue a refund. However, the rep (Cristina) told me that I needed to wait for the manager who issued the reprint to approve the refund, but since it was the weekend, I had to wait for this manager to call me on Monday! This was just before Cristina hung up in my face seemingly because she didn’t want to hear my objections about waiting til Monday. (She did email me later citing that for some strange reason she suddenly couldn’t hear me anymore. Yeah, I bet.) If I could give this experience ZERO STARS I would! This company messed up my order and then completely dropped the ball on fixing their mistake. Now I have to hope that this manager actually calls me in order to get my refund. I will NEVER order from UPrinting again.”

“I ordered the white corrugated shipping boxes and added a colored background to all sides but one. 3M packaging tape DOES NOT stick to the ink they used to add color to the box. So, in order to get the boxes taped shut I have to wrap around the box completely so it can stick to the one white side and to itself. The result is not professional and unusable - defeats the purpose of a branded box. If tape doesn't stick when the background is color - why allow that to be an option when you order?”

Is there a trick to folding the boxes so the flap stays shut and flat ?

The boxes will be delivered with all the proper scoring where they need to be folded and they should stay closed as long as these scoring lines are followed.

What is the weight limit for the corrugated boxes 21X18X6?

Do these boxes have a box makers certification stamp? what is the weight limit or edge crush amount?

Thanks for reaching out.

I see that you want to know if the shipping boxes have certification for their ECT and a stamp on the material itself. The boxes are certified ECT but the stamps are not indicated on the material of the box. We want to make sure that if we print our customer's design the only printing they have is the design itself.
