Flat invitation printing: An easy, classy solution for special occasions.

Let your family and friends know about an upcoming event using creative flat invitation cards! Print invitation cards for special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries, baby showers and more. Flat invitations come with blank envelopes, making it easier to send RSVP and save the date cards for your events.

How your flat invitation cards are printed depends on the quantity of your order. You can choose from matte, gloss, and high gloss UV coating. We also have uncoated cardstock if you intend to handwrite special messages on your invitations.

We can print invitations as fast as 1 business day. Our invitation printing service lets you choose from 6 popular sizes.

Every party needs its corresponding invitation. If you're in a movie, you can compare invitations to a trailer. It tells people what the event is all about, and gives them a glimpse of what's coming.

Choosing the appropriate invitation size for your event is important. A jumbo-sized invitation would appear too loud and obnoxious for an intimate party for family and friends. While a mini-sized invitation is not advisable for a open-to-all-party-all-night event.  Although you can come up with your own custom measurements, knowing the standard sizes gives you more choices.

To help you pick the perfect one, read this guide on the different invitation sizes for flat and folded invitations.

Flat Invitations
  • 3.5” x 5” – This invitation size is usually used as a reply for RSVP cards. It is usually paired with another bigger-sized invitation.
  • 4” x 6” & 4.25" x 6"– Regular-sized invitations common for birthdays, christenings and graduation parties.
  • 5” x 7” – This size is often used for momentous events such as weddings, achievement awards and formal functions.

Folded Counterparts of Flat Invitations:
  • 7” x 5” (folds to 3.5” x 5”)
  • 8.5” x 6” (folds to 4.25 x 6”)
  • 10” x 7” (folds to 5” x 7”)

The applications of the invitations with respect to their sizes are not limited to the ones listed above. Custom sizes are also available.

“I received my order of 200 invitations and noticed it was duller than what I'm used to. So I started a live chat with customer support and asked if my order was run on a digital printer rather than an offset printer. This is the response I got: >> Mechelyn Key - Uprinting - Customer Support "I see here that your order has 200 quantity, for 200 quantities, printing method is digital, for 250 and up, it will be offset." I'm not thrilled with my order but I have to use them anyway because of timeline. Nowhere on the product page was this TINY piece of info disclosed. But I did request they put this information on the website so those of us who are particular with our print jobs will know before ordering. For me, it's vital for future projects. Customer support responded, "I'll suggest it to our management." I won't hold my breath. Let me just say that I've been happy with their final products in the past which required more than 250 qty. Now I know (and knowing is half the battle) that for future projects, I would only order 250 qty or more to ensure I get offset printing. If you order less than that amount, know that you can expect lesser quality digital print runs. They offered no apologies and no discounts :( I live to fight another day.”

“I love the final print of my design for my son's invitation, however, I misread and didn't realize envelopes were not included. Called customer service and they don't me they couldn't help, go somewhere else and buy the envelopes!!! Will not order again due to the horrible customer service.”

“I felt the shipping cost was very high for this. On top of that there was some coloring issues in the backside of some of the invitations. The backs were just plain blue and you can see where there may have been some bleeding of other colors into the blue and where the printer may have been running out of ink as there were some white spots on some. I give it a C. I think for the cost the quality could have been better”

“I uploaded my own design and that was pretty easy. And yes it says its a 3-day turnaround but what they don't say is it takes another day or two to actually print. So you really won't receive your order for a whole week which I didn't expect. Also when I received my invites, they looked nice but the font was hard to read. It's probably the kind of font I used but It would've been good if when they proof the design to suggest I use a bigger font. The shipping costs are realllly high. $10-$20 . The quality was good but next time, I think i'll go elsewhere that has more competitive shipping prices.”

Q:
I am looking for a company that will print our wedding invitations on navy blue cardstock with the information in gold foil. Does your company do this?
Asked 23 days ago by Angela
A:

All our Cardstocks have a natural white color. We will print it in Navy Blue or whatever color you have in your artwork (color matching is not guaranteed) using a CMYK color system and then we can use a Gold Foil in the areas you need to indicate in the submitted artwork. This can be configured in the Foil Invitation product page.

Q:
Can uprint do envelope printing as well?
Asked a month ago by Rupa
A:

Yes we can print on envelopes. Please check Envelope Printing and look under the items for Announcement Envelopes to match the size of your invitations.

Q:
Do you have cream colored 16pt cardstock? What color cardstock do you have available?
Asked 3 months ago by Damian P.
A:

All our stocks are White. You would need to have the background color in your artwork and we will print as close as possible to the color you select. Please set up using a CMYK format as this is the standard color mode for online printing. By doing this, we can minimize difference in your design and the final printed output. Remember, the colors you see on a computer screen will not always translate accurately to the actual printing output.

Q:
Do you do a sample prints for large orders?
Asked 5 months ago by Xochitl
A:

Unfortunately we don't as the set up process and costs for doing a single run is the same as doing multiple runs. We offer the regular PDF proofs which are free and will show your artwork with the trim lines and safe zones. We cannot guarantee color matching as there are so many factors that can affect how the proofs are viewed and how the offset printing process works.

We can sometimes do a Hard Copy Proof (HCP) if the materials selected allow for it. That is if you are selecting coated stock (Gloss Or Matte) but not for laminated, UV coated or uncoated paper. The HCP is for color sensitive jobs which we will send you a copy of your order printed on Kodak Photo Paper. We print this in duplicates with one copy going to you and the other we retain. If you approve the HCP, we will use the retained copy as a basis to follow the color you have on your artwork. It is still not a 100% color match since using a gang run offset printing system will not allow for this, but we will print as close as possible to the HCP. The HCP will need to be ordered separately and the price will depend on the size of yor order. Also, the time it takes to print and ship the HCP is not included in the turnaround time of the job you wish to print.

Q:
If I choose print on front only will the back be white? I am wanting the the entire card to be one solid color but it will only have text on the front.
Asked 6 months ago by Keni R.
A:

Yes, the natural color of the paper is white. If you want it to have the same background color as the front, you will need to choose front and back printing.
