10 Pt Card Stock is comparable to the cover of a magazine, thicker than the inside pages but thinner than a regular business card. If you envision that most of the posters will be exposed to the elements and would have a limited shelf life, it would be prudent to use the 100 lb Paper (which is more like the inside pages of a magazine). However, if they will be placed on bulletin boards or areas that have relative shelter from the weather, then the 10 PT would be a durable option and reflect a more official or formal message.
We can fold or score (depending on the material you choose) but these will be custom jobs and will need to be called in for proper pricing and production instructions. We normally ship these out flat. Depending on the size, you can also visit our Brochures page where folding is an option as we have very similar materials to print on. We get these requests specially for printing maps or other similar products which need to be folded.

Marilyn the 14pt cardstock is the same thickness as a standard business card. If this is used for bigger sizes I do not think it would be stiff enough to be placed on a plastic base.
