How Should I Go About My Poster Design?

Keep these tips in mind while creating your personalized posters.

  • Stay on brand.
The poster design should be consistent with your brand’s messaging. Customers should immediately identify who you are and the lifestyle you are selling.
  • Keep things concise.
A visually captivating design will get their attention. But the important information on your event and company should stand out. Make sure crucial info such as the venue, website, and contact details are the easiest to read.
  • Color a customer’s world.
Use colors to captivate and sustain a customer’s attention. The combination must lead the customer to the key details on the poster. Make sure the chosen hues are complementary.

Q:
I have 4 different posters that I want printed. If I order a bulk of 100, can I split the 25 between each design or would I have to create a new item per each design?
Asked 6 months ago by Icarusmetrocomics@gmail.com
A:

Unfortunately, our pricing is based on one design per quantity. The set up cost of each design is separate and we can only get the cost efficiency if the design is the same.

Q:
I wrote in this morning about creating a poster from 4, 4x6 cards but forgot to ask: if I wanted to blow a 9x13 post up to say, 12x18 (not accounting for bleed in this example) would there be any loss in the images' clarity or color?
Asked 7 months ago by Roxanne B.
A:

This would depend on the file. We woud encourage to set up a quote on your account online and upload the file. Give us a call so that the job may be converted to an unpaid order and we can give you a frree proof so you can see if the file modifications will work for you. .

Q:
I'm having four 4x6 cards created. I also want to combine them into a single poster. I've calculated it needs to be 9 x13 inches to allow for bleed. Is this something you can do--incorporate the 4 cards into a single piece?
Asked 7 months ago by Roxanne B.
A:

We can do that as long as the files are of good resolution and are sized properly. Please create an account, set up your specifications on the Bulk Poster product page and add to cart. Give us a call so our Customer Support Representatives can get your files and put your job on our Prepress queue so that they can take a lok at your files.

Q:
I am creating senior class posters for a small fine arts high school that doesn't have a yearbook. Looking for paper quality where ink won't bleed thru if students sign the back. What do you recommend? Does print time include shipment? Need 3-day turn.
Asked 8 months ago by Kelly
A:

Anytime a paper stock has coating (Gloss or Matte), it would be difficul to write on. You may have to use a Sharpie and be a little careful to let it dry awhile before rubbing against it as it could smudge.  If you select a 10 PT Cardstock Matte then you can be sure it wont bleed through or be seen on the opposite side. The three day turnaround you see on the site only covers the printing time and only refers to business days.  There are options for one and two day turn around but please be aware of the cut off time of 5 pm Pacific Standard Time. You need to order before that to start counting the option you choose to start the following day.  You would also need to factor in the shipping transit time when computing the deadline you need the posters to be in hand.

Q:
Hi I'm not able to download the InDesign template, and I'm trying to figure out what the ideal bleed/margins are. Can you help? Thanks!
Asked a year ago by Jera
A:

Although we cut very precisely, it would be prudent to give a .25" bleed for your artwork and the same size for the safe zone. We require PDF files with resolution of 200-300 DPI for best quality printing.
