I had one...

“I had one other terrible experience with UPrinting's banners, but thought I'd give it a second go around since everything else from them has been good. The banner construct itself is okay, not sure how long it will actually last, but it is easy and quick to set up. The problem I have is with the quality of the image. I admit, I sent them the image and I did not request a proof before having it sent. I honestly thought that UPrinting would not send me something that did not have good graphic quality - that's what their printing department should be looking at. I have had other companies call me when the quality wasn't going to be up to speed and was able to resend them something that would work. Not UPrinting, they don't care what the item looks like. So I paid $80 for something that is less than acceptable. I will no longer use them for banner, but will go with a competitor who is at least willing to let me know that the image quality is going to be less than stellar.”

Q:
I have a small tear on the edge of my retractable bannner. What typenof tabe could i use to repair it and prevent further damage.
Asked 12 months ago by Craig
A:

You would need to use a tape with heavy duty adhesive to help prevent further tears to the the  vinyl material. At the same time it can't be too thick as it may affect how the banner retracts into the mechanism. If the damage is unrepairable, you do have the option to order just the banner.

Q:
What is the bleed for a 47x80 retractable banner?

The bleed is standard for all large format jobs at .25" on all sides.

Q:
How to retract and close the banner

Please scroll down to the bottom of the Retractable Banner product page. The four step instruction shows how the banner is assembled. To disassemble, just follow in reverse.

Q:
What is the minimum dpi for photos and should they be cmyk or rgb? Thanks!
Asked a year ago by arennett@comcast.net
A:

We would advise to send in at least 200-300 dpi for images to come out clearly. We print using a CMYK color format and you may send in your file as a PDF, Illustrator or Photoshop file. There are also templates you can download on the website to guide you in creating the banner so you have the proper size and bleed requirements.

Q:
In it's collapsed form inside the travel bag what are the dimensions for the smallest size? I see the question below that the banner itself would be 23.5 " but I wasn't sure if the pole collapsed to something smaller/larger than the banner.
Asked a year ago by Becca
A:

The width of the banner is 23.5".  The base which the banner folds into would be slightly longer than that in width  and would be around 7" high. The pole is collapsible into three parts, with each part around 27-28 inches long. Once it it is fully extended it has to hold up the height of the banner which is 80".
