Maximize High-Quality, Organized Brochure Printing

Choosing the Best Material for Your Booklet

Custom Printed Booklet

Enhancing your booklet’s appearance and durability starts with choosing the right materials for the cover and inside pages. For the cover, you have several options. Use 80 and 100 lb. paper gloss for short-term use and promotional materials. For professional presentations and high-end brochures, opt for 10 pt. cardstock. For more durable booklets like annual reports, 14 pt. cardstock is the perfect option. And if you desire top-notch, long-lasting booklets, look no further than 16 pt. cardstock. With the right materials, your booklet will truly stand out!

For the inside pages, 70 lb. paper uncoated works well for text-heavy booklets like manuals. Choose 80 lb. paper for image-heavy booklets to enhance colors. For a variety of finishes, use 100 lb. paper. For high-quality, durable pages in premium booklets, 10 pt. cardstock is ideal. Depending on your needs, you might prefer a matte finish for a sophisticated look or a gloss finish to make colors vibrant.

We're a martial...
October 22, 2018 by Seichou Karate Dojo
“We're a martial arts school in Alexandria, VA and try to use local vendors whenever possible. However, the prices for most print jobs is far greater with local printers. So, for years, we have relied on Uprinting for everything from business cards to large banners. Uprinting normally provides us with great prices and, most importantly, great quality. On the few occasions when quality hasn't met our requirements, Uprinting has corrected the deficiencies: no questions asked. This time, we needed 250 booklets for our new student handbook. So, we uploaded the file and Uprinting flagged possible imperfections for us. We appreciate this part of their quality control process because it puts us on notice and we make the call as to whether we're going to make the correction or go with an existing file. After communicating with Uprinting via email on this issue, we went with the existing artwork. However, we increased the order from 250 pieces to 500 because the price increase for an additional 250 pieceswas only about $30. Ultimately, our order arrived 5 days early and it was beautiful. Our students are going to love our new, high-quality handbook.”

“We ordered 350 booklets and they arrived earlier today, we were all a little skeptical of how it would turn out and the quality of it. The product is amazing, better than we were hoping and the customer service was wonderful and very helpful. Highly recommend”

“I was holding my breathe because while other DIY printers are very nice, little errors can be made and you don't see it until you get the material. Be it text size, color bleed, paper thickness or something that most amateurs would't notice via computer. I spent a lot of money on these 20 page brochures and they look even better than I imagined. Polished, professional and the represent my firm exactly the way I desired.”

Q:
For a Saddle-Stitched booklet should I export my pdf as single pages or as a spread?
Asked 19 days ago by Raymond G.
A:

You may send this either way. It is important to have the correct pagination and for multi page jobs we do send back a free PDF proof automatically so you may check if it is presented correctly.

Q:
why can't i order 46 booklets
Asked 2 months ago by Betsy S.
A:

If you go to our Short Run Booklets, there are options for 45 and 50 booklets. We can do 46 but our Custom Department will have to price that for you. Please create an account online and add an item to cart for 45 booklets. Give us a call and speak to a Custom Representative so they can covert that to a quote with the exact quantity you need.

Q:
Hi, is there a hard cover option?
Asked 2 months ago by Jade
A:

As it stands it is not a standard option. However, we can get this done as a Custom job. Please create an account online and add your specifications to cart (using the standard cardstock cover). Once you have this, please give us a call to speak to a Custom Representative so they can submit a formal quote based on your specifications.

Q:
For an 8.5x11 booklet should the file be formatted to spread 8.5x 22?
Asked 3 months ago by Keesha G.
A:

If 8.5" x 11" is the folded size and you are turning the pages right to left on the shorter side, the flat (unfolded) size should be 11" x 17" and typically means the orientation of your artwork is "Portrait". If you are designing your booklet to open on the longer side (11") , this would be the "Landscape" orientation and would measure 8.5" x 22" unfolded.

Q:
Is there an uncoated interior paper option available?
Asked 4 months ago by Sarah
A:

Yes. When you set up the order on the Booklet Product page, under the "Paper for Inside Pages" option, please select the 70 lb Paper Uncoated. If you wish to use a thicker pape stock, we could possible set this up as a Custom Order. Please create an account on the website and give us a call to speak to a Custom Representative to get a quote.
