Backing Cards: An Easy & Impressive Way to Display Products

Create an impressive presentation of your products with backing cards. These cardstocks, which are about as thick as a standard business card, are made for displaying jewelry, pins, and other accessories.

As the name implies, backing cards go behind the product. This makes them the perfect canvas for your brand name and design. No matter the product you sell, backing cards will give your goods an impressive presentation that will surely catch people’s attention.

Backing Card Sizes & Styles

A backing card should be big enough to fit your product and showcase your brand name and design. Printed on durable 14 pt. and 16 pt. cardstocks, UPrinting backing cards are thick enough so they don’t bend or crease easily during storage and shipping.

How big should your backing card be? That depends on the product you’re selling. To help you visualize, a post/stud earring card is the same size as a US passport photo while a pendant and earring card is as big as a standard business card.

Choose from the following sizes and styles to complement your product:

Styles  Sizes
     Post/Stud Earring

     2" x 2"

     Loop/Hook Earring

     2" x 2.5"

     Pendant and Earring

    2.5" x 4"

     Foldover Necklace/Bracelet

     2" x 5.375" (folds to 2" x 2.5")

     Square/Rectangle

     up to 8.5” x 11”

When in doubt, choose a larger card to have more room for your product and design. UPrinting offers backing cards in custom sizes up to 8.5 x 11. Order today and have your backing cards ready to ship in 4-6 business days.

Q:
Can I get these with a pre-punched center home for ethanol pin display?
Asked 2 months ago by Magen
A:

We offer a standard 5/16" hole drill to be located in the top center portion of the backing card. We will print the design you submitted as long as it has a 250-300 DPI resolution and sized exactly to the order size.

Q:
Can I request part of the logo be printed in gold?
Asked 5 months ago by Maria C.
A:

Yes, this is possible. Please go to our Foil Business Cards which have the same size as our Backing Cards (or you may configure your own custom size).  You just need to indicate on your artwork which area you need to be in gold (you may add a layer on your artwork).

Q:
Is the heaviest backing card suitable for a heavy item to be zip tied to it?

Yes, heavier stocks are more durable.

Q:
Is there a template available for the fold-over backing card? I don't see one provided on the webpage.
Asked a year ago by Holly
A:

There is  not one currently on the website but we have emailed you a template.

Q:
Hello, I am looking for a backing card for a 1.25 inch button . Which backing card should I get for that? Thank you
Asked a year ago by Tonya C.
A:

Assuming your button is the traditional  pinback type and based on existing specifications for this product, your best option would be for the Loop/Hook Earrings option. These would come with two hole drills that you could manually attach your button to. However, please take note that  there is only one size option for this and that is 2" x 2.5" and it would be prudent to get a template of this from us as a guide.  You would have to know exactly where the pin is placed on your button and make sure your design is in sync with this and the hole drill location. Some pins are placed towards the top while others are centrally located at the back of the button. It would be best to order a proof so you can print it out in real size and see if the button and the design are in line with the two standard hole drills. To go with a a different size with the two hole drills would require having a custom made die and that would make the cost higher.
