CMYK is the color printing method used for printed designs. It is a combination of four ink colors (Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Key or Black). Overlapping these colors in various amounts produce all the colors printed. This is what we call full-color printing . By using CMYK mode, your artwork will be printed in vibrant colors.
To ensure that you will get the right colors, set the color mode on your application to CMYK before you send the file for printing.
If you have already started your project in RGB mode, we recommend switching to CMYK.
In Adobe Illustrator simply follow these steps:
Keep in mind though that computer monitors are calibrated in RGB mode, which may not produce the exact same color on your screen as what prints.

- Click File, then Document Color Mode. The default color will have a check next to it.
- Select all the objects from the artwork. Click Edit, then Edit Colors. Choose Convert to CMYK.
- Save your artwork by clicking File, then Save As. Choose Illustrator EPS as the format.
