Customer Questions
If you need to write on the poster, we would suggest you go with the Foam Boards. Then select the Dry Erase Lamination. We also encourage you to order the Dry Erase Marker Kit under the accessory option. This comes with an eraser and cleaning liquid to make sure the board remains clean and free from stains since the markers are very compatible with the lamination we use. Writing on Regular Posters cannot be erased.
If you are getting a prompt that the artwork is blurry, it maybe because you converted an excel file into a PDF. Since this is a poster to be printed in a large size, the system is most likely enlarging the size of your file which is very much smaller considering it is an excel file. Upload your file and select a free PDF proof. Our Prepress Team will check if they can help you make the blurry areas more solid since these are just lines and text. If there are special design elements like logos or images, we cannot guarantee we can fix that as you need to submit a high resolution image.
For large format jobs,we normally use third party file transfer provider wetransfer.com and they can help us download files up to 2 GB.
There is a somewhat technical process of doing this and we would need the digital files of the pictures in pdf or similar formats. Unfortunately we can't use the physical photos or the negatives. You can do this by getting them professionally scanned or photographed.
The reason you need them to be digitally converted is we need the files to ideally have 250-300 DPI resolution with the correct file size. You may then upload these files on the website and if you select the free proof option, we can check them if they may be enlarged to your desired size without distorting the image in the final print. You will not need to pay until the proofs are good for printing.
Furthermore, having them digitized ensures you can store them without fear of having the photos deteriorate over time and preserved for future use.
We will print whatever design you send us. So you may include a blank space (or a border) in the artwork you send us and we will print as is. However, you may need to select the 24 PT cardstock as material because the gloss paper would be too smooth to write on and will likely smudge.
The poster is normally rolled and has a protective sheet of wax paper on top to avoid scratches. It is then placed into a hard cardboard box for shipping.
